Track Competes at Day 1 of AARTFC Championships

Violets Travel to Salisgrove, PA

The New York University men's and women's track & field teams kicked-off day one of the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Championships in Salisgrove, PA, on Wednesday, May 17.

Kate Walsh was first up for the Violets in the long jump. Walsh leaped 5.12m and took 17th in the 25-competitor field.

Zion Glover and Summer Reid competed in the 100-meter dash prelims. Glover crossed the line 10.97 and Reid notched a 13.04 finish.

The men's 4x100-meter relay team consisting of Glover, Matt Marcelo, Emmanuel Brito, and Oliver Fideler finished in 43.45 and placed 15th.

Michelle Uvieghara took 11th in the shot put, throwing 37.81m.

The All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Championships will continue tomorrow, Thursday, May 18, at 10:00 AM in
Salisgrove, PA.
