Track & Field Teams Compete at Lions Invitational

Jackson Takes Second in the Triple Jump

Members of the New York University men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Lions Invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ, on Friday, April 28.

Dasha Jackson took second in the triple jump with a mark of 10.81m while Areyanna McCarthy placed fourth leaping 10.63m.

In the 5k, Andrew Taylor came across the line in 15:25.58 finishing in fifth place. Brandon Meiner (15:45.51) and Hamza Mankor (15:48.31) finished eighth and ninth, respectively.

Oliver Fideler's mark of 13.05m in the men's triple jump earned him seventh place.

Jake Chang clocked in at 4:20.60 to take 14th in the 1,500-meter run.

The Violets will return to action on Saturday, May 6, when they compete at the Tom Farrell Classic hosted by St. John's University in Jamaica, NY.
