New York University's men and women's track & field teams wrapped the second and final day of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by the University of Chicago on Sunday, April 23.
Both the men and women's team ended competition in seventh place. The men finished with 29.5 points and the women with 22 points.
Both
Ryan Tobin and
Ezri Scott placed fourth in their respective events. Tobin recorded a 14:38.12 finish in the 5k and Scott marked 1.52m in the high jump.
The NYU record breaking women's 4x100-meter relay team consisting of
Summer Reid,
Isre'al Conerly,
Kate Walsh, and
Lola Akindele also earned fourth place with a 50.11 finish. The men's team made up of
Austin Cabanban.
Zion Glover,
Emmanuel Brito, and
Kamden Martin took sixth with a 42.70 finish.
Glover, who qualified for both the 100-meter and 200-meter finals, took seventh in both events recording 11.10 in the 100 and 22.71 in the 200.
Jon Diaz and
Fiona Kelleher also qualified for final heats. Diaz, who qualified for the 800-meter finals, finished seventh with a time of 1:59.46 and Kelleher clocked a 1:09.51 to finish eighth in the 400-meter hurdles.
Viv Kane took the track in the 5k placing seventh (17:18.60) and
Matthew Oluwole tied for eighth in the high jump with a mark of 1.84m.
The Violets head to Ewing, NJ, to compete at the Lions Invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey next weekend, April 28-29.
