UAA Release
Following a season in which the New York University Women's Basketball Team swept all but one of its University Athletic Association (UAA) opponents, the Violets swept all of the major end-of-year Association awards.
After finishing the regular season with an 22-1 overall record and a 13-1 mark in the UAA, NYU players and coaches received the following UAA honors:

In addition to the above awards, Walker and Pellecchia were named First Team All-UAA, while Bruns and
Jordan Janowski were selected to the Second Team.

Emiko Smith received accolades for the leading the Violets' to a historic season. The team currently boasts all-time program bests in scoring average (78.8) and field goal percentage (45.1) and began the year with a 14-game winning streak.
Walker leads the Violets in field goal percentage (.491) and is second in scoring (12.5 ppg), while ranking fourth in the UAA in both categories. The junior power forward was a Second Team All-UAA selection as a freshman.
Pellecchia, a freshman guard, leads the Violets in scoring (13.1 ppg) and steals (62) and is second in assists (70) and field goal percentage (.487). She leads the UAA with 2.7 steals per game and is fifth in assists per game (3.0) and field goal percentage. Pellecchia also earned UAA Athlete of the Week honors on February 21.
Bruns, a sophomore forward, leads NYU and the UAA with 45 blocks and 2.0 blocks per game. She is also second on the Violets with 7.3 rebounds per game
Janowski, a freshman guard whose 74 assists leads NYU, ranks fourth in the UAA with 3.2 assists per game.
Barber and her staff led the Violets to their first UAA title since 2007 and their first outright title championship since 1997, when NYU captured the NCAA Division III Championship.
