The New York University women's golf team finished in third place at the Jack Leaman Invitational, which was hosted by Amherst College on Saturday and Sunday, April 27 and 28, in South Hadley, MA.

NYU shot a two-day score of 632 (324-308) to trail tournament champions Williams College by 35 strokes and Wellesley College by six strokes at the 10-team event.

The Violets were led by Jessica Wu, who carded a two-round score of 155 (80-75) to finish 11th among 55 golfers. Jenni Bluetling and Arisa Kimura finished tied for 12th.

"After a slow start, our players really came back today," said Assistant Coach Eric Tarakjian. "We are looking to carry that momentum into next weekend's Liberty League Championship."

NYU returns to action next weekend when it looks to earn another berth to the NCAA Championship at the Liberty League Championship. Union College is hosting the two-day event on Friday and Saturday, May 2-3, at Mohawk Golf Club in Schenectady, NY.
