Men's Track & Field Leads the Way with 18

UAA RELEASE

Sixty-six New York University student-athletes have earned 2017 University Athletic Association (UAA) Spring Sport All-Academic honors.

Student-athletes representing four women's and four men's spring sports (baseball, softball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's outdoor track & field) were honored for their combination of academic and athletic achievement.

NYU's men's track & field team led the way with 18 honorees, followed by women's track & field which had 14 student-athletes recognized.

The softball team came next with 11 players honored, while baseball had seven players selected. Men's tennis had six athletes honored, followed by women's tennis with four.

Both men's and women's golf had three players selected.

UAA All-Academic recognition is given to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and carry a minimum of a 3.30 grade point average -- the same academic qualifying standard used by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the nomination of Academic All-America candidates in all sports.
