The New York University women's basketball team could not make a 21-point halftime lead stand, ultimately falling 66-57 at Brooklyn College on Monday, December 3, in Brooklyn, NY.
The Violets (4-2) dominated the first 11 minutes of the game, jumping out to a 27-4 lead. However, the Bulldogs (5-2) shut down NYU's offense in the second half and came all the way back, snapping the Violets' winning streak at three games.

Cassidy Jourdan in building the huge 27-4 lead.

Nicole Lem's 13th point of the first half made it a 21-point game with 3:45 left, and the Violets took that margin into halftime at 40-19.
- After shooting 50.0% (14-28) in the first period, however, the Violets went cold in the second. NYU made just six field goals and shot 20.7% (6-29) in the final 20 minutes.
- The Violets also struggled to protect their own basket in the second half, as the Bulldogs pulled down 13 offensive rebounds during their comeback. Brooklyn took advantage, converting 13 second-chance points and scoring 19 points off turnovers in the second half en route to the come-from-behind victory.

Megan Dawe each finished with 15 points.
Riley Wurtz added game highs of 14 rebounds and six assists.
“I was really proud of the team's effort in the first half – we were the tougher team,” said Head Coach
Lauren Hall-Gregory. “In the second half, Brooklyn was the tougher team, and that was the difference. I expect us to learn from this going forward.”
NYU returns to the court on Wednesday, December 5, when it travels to Manhattanville College. Tip-off is at 7:00 pm in Purchase, NY.
