New York University's Mike Leibfried has been named to the Division III PING Northeast All-Region team. 

Leibfried enjoyed a terrific senior season for the Violets as he won two tournament titles and captained the Violets to their first-ever University Athletic Association (UAA) team championship.

At the UAA, Leibfried finished second in the individual competition, falling on the third playoff hole to eventual champion Ryan Dagerman of Emory University.

In October, Leibfried shot an even-par 144 over two rounds to capture the ECAC Division III Metro/Upstate Championship. In late March, he won the McDaniel College Spring Invitational, posting a two-round tally of 148, four shots over par.

A native of Rolling Hills, CA, Leibfried graduated with a major in biology and plans to attend medical school.
