Kyle Green scored three goals in seven UAA games.

Kyle Green reaped the rewards of an outstanding rookie season, earning Second Team All-University Athletic Association honors to highlighted a list of four New York University men's soccer players feted on Thursday.

In addition, the trio of Nick Coulson, Ronny Scardino and Christopher Wolf garnered Honorable Mention All-UAA status.

Green enjoyed an auspicious start to his collegiate career, especially against UAA opponents. He paced the Violets with three goals and seven points against Association foes, with his finest performance coming during a 2-1 victory over Washington University on Nov. 1 that saw him set up NYU's first goal and run on to a goalie kick to notch the game-winning goal. Green also found the back of the net against Carnegie Mellon University (Oct. 18) and Brandeis University (Nov. 7) during the UAA portion of the Violets' schedule.

All told, Green tied for the team lead in assists (3) and ranked second in both goals (5) and points (13).

Coulson started all seven UAA games and assisted on a score during NYU's 1-1 tie against Case Western Reserve University on Oct. 10. The Violets allowed one goal or less in four of their Association contests, including a 0-0, double-overtime draw at Emory University on Oct. 16. Overall, Coulson started in 15 of the 17 contests he played.

Scardino is another rookie who enjoyed a promising start to his collegiate career, scoring two of his three goals this season in UAA contests. He tallied his first collegiate goal against Case Western Reserve University and added a score against Washington. Scardino's three goals and six points in 2009 both ranked third on NYU.

Finally, Wolf played a pivotal role as captain and center back for the Violets, starting all seven conference contests as the Violets finished tied for fifth in the final UAA standings. Overall, the three-year starter appeared in 14 games during his final collegiate season, including 13 starts.
