Four members of the New York University men's volleyball team have earned United Volleyball Conference (UVC) All-Conference Honors following the conclusion of the regular season.
The Violets' honorees were highlighted by
Emerson Evans being named UVC Player of the Year, while
Bennet Tchaikovsky and
Charlie Clifford earned Libero/Defensive Specialist of the Year and Rookie of the Year titles, respectively.
Evans, along with
Devyn Nguyen, made the UVC All-Conference First Team, while Clifford was named to the Second Team. Tchaikovsky was an Honorable Mention.
A junior from Huntington Beach, CA, Evans led the attack with a conference-best 4.14 kills per set on .282 hitting. He also added 141 digs and 46.0 total blocks, defensively. On the season, he recorded three double-doubles.
The 2025 UVC Co-Player of the Year, Nguyen continued to facilitate the offense with 10.31 assists per set, good for first in the UVC. He reached at least 40 assists in 12 matches and over 50 in three contests. Additionally, the junior setter racked up 23 kills, 150 digs, and 37.0 total blocks. Nguyen posted a double-double in four tilts.
In his first collegiate season, Clifford galvanized NYU's attack with 3.17 kills per set on a team-high .292 hitting. He put down double-digit kills in all but seven of the matches he appeared in.
Tchaikovsky helped limit opponents to .221 hitting on the year and averaged a conference-best 2.76 digs per set. He recorded double-digit digs in 12 of the 22 matches he played.
The Violets will face St. John Fisher University in the first round of the conference tournament on Friday, April 10, at 7:30pm.
