For a second time this season,
Charlie Clifford of the New York University men's volleyball team has been named the United Volleyball Conference (UVC) Rookie of the Week.
Clifford previously earned the honor on February 9 of this year.
In the Violets' lone match last week, the freshman from Glen Ellyn, IL, totaled 15 kills on .190 attacking and added 10 digs to help NYU defeat Vassar College 3-2. He also collected a pair of blocking assists.
The Violets dropped the first two sets against the Brewers before bouncing back to complete the reverse sweep.
The win clinched the #3 seed for NYU in the UVC Tournament, setting up a matchup with St. John Fisher University in the quarterfinals on Friday, April 10, in New Paltz, NY.
