New York University's women's basketball team has earned numerous accolades from
D3hoops.com.
Senior
Caroline Peper was named Region IV Women's Basketball Player of the Year following a tremendous campaign.
She was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Player of the Year and earned First Team All-UAA honors for the second consecutive season. She currently leads the team and the UAA in scoring, averaging 18.5 points per game, while her 108 three-pointers set a new NYU single-season record.
Joining Peper on the Region IV First Team is
Brooke Batchelor, while
Zahra Alexander received a nod for Second Team. Both Batchelor (13.5) and Alexander (12.3) have played every game for the Violets this season and are second and third in points per game behind Peper.
Aila Kaibara was named Region IV Rookie of the Year. In her debut season, Kaibara has started 28 games and is second on the team in three pointers (55) and fourth in points per game (10.1).
Head Coach
Meg Barber was also named Coach of the Year for the region. Under Barber, the team has won 91 straight games, including a perfect 29-0 so far this season. The Violets won their fifth straight UAA Championship in 2025-26 and are entering their third consecutive NCAA Final Four.
The Violets will return to the court this week on Thursday, March 19, in Salem, VA, against undefeated University of Scranton (31-0) with the game set to begin at 7:30pm.
