Three New York University student-athletes represented the Violets' men's and women's track and field teams during the first day of competition at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Outdoor Championships.
The regional meet is begin hosted by Williams College in Williamstown, MA over two days, May 14-15.
Michelle Uvieghara had the best finish of the day, taking 13th place in the women's discus with a best attempt of 37.43m.
The Violets' lone jumper in action, Oliver Fideler, placed 17th in the men's long jump competition with a mark of 6.54m.
Emma Grunin finished with a 30.65m best throw in the women's javelin action, placing 25th.
NYU finishes out competition at the AARTFC Championships on Thursday, May 15.
