The New York University men's and women's track and field teams closed out the two-day Farley Inter Regional Meet, hosted by Williams College in Williamstown, MA.
NYU runners, jumpers and throwers took to a rainy Lee Track and Field Complex on Saturday, May 9, looking to put up qualifying times for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships later in the month
The best finish of the day for the Violets was
Julian Aske in the 800m final. He logged a career-best 1:50.81 to take first place. The time ranks 20th-best in Division III this outdoor season.
In the women's 1500m final, two of the three Violets landed in the top 10.
Katherine Cochran (4:29.37) led the way for NYU in third. Her time ranks 19th-best in the Division III outdoor season.
Katharine Frank (4:39.07) took seventh.
Theodore Udelson-Nee clocked in at 3:54.71 in the men's 1500m final, finishing in 14th place.
Alex Hrycyszyn (3:57.81) landed in 19th place.
Beverly Okyere took 10th place in the women's 400m finals, finishing in 58.62. The time is a personal best for the NYU junior.
In the field events,
Amalia Hronides took ninth place in the women's high jump with a 1.53m best mark.
Alexa McMillian placed 13th in the women's long jump competition, finishing at 4.93m.
Drew Boyce also took 13th on the men's side with a 6.14m best.
Nishad Sankar placed 10th in the men's triple jump competition with a 13.57m jump.
The Violets will close out the regular season on Monday, May 11, at the Widener Final Qualifier in Chester, PA.
