Members of the New York University men's and women's track & field teams traveled to Charlottesville, VA, to compete in the Virginia Challenge hosted by the University of Virginia on Friday and Saturday, April 18-19.
On Friday, Lucy Gott and Ryan Tobin took to the track for the 5,000-meter run.
In the men's section, Tobin finished seventh with a time of 14:26.00.
Gott finished in 2:14.48 to take 21st place in the women's section.
On Saturday, Jon Diaz and Gianna Dawson each competed in the 800-meters. Diaz posted a seventh-place finishes in 1:51.38 and Dawson took 32nd, crossing the line in 2:14.48.
The Violets are back in action next Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27, when the host the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships at Icahn Stadium on Roosevelt Island in Manhattan.
