Ryan Tobin and Janie Cooper of the New York University men's and women's track & field teams each secured Second Team All-America honors in the 3,000-meter run on the final day of the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, March 15, in Rochester, NY.

Tobin, who earned All-America recognition in the 5,000-meter run with a 12th-place finish (14:27.60) on Friday, repeated the feat in the 3,000-meter event, placing 10th with a time of 8:16.19.

On the women's side, Cooper clocked 9:47.58 to finish 14th in the 3,000-meter race.

NYU's women's team, also saw success in the 5,000-meter events on Friday, as Katherine Cochran (11th-place) and Josephine Dziedzic (13th-place) joined Tobin in earning Second Team All-America honors.

With Tobin, Cooper, Cochran, and Dziedzic all earning All-America distinctions, every NYU athlete competing at the NCAA Championships returned home with national recognition.

The Violets will open their outdoor season on Friday, March 28, traveling to West Long Branch, NJ, for the Monmouth University Season Opener.
