Victoria Zatko has been hired as an assistant coach of the New York University softball team. Her primary responsibilities include coaching the Violets' catchers and supporting player development.
Before joining NYU, Zatko coached for the Brooklyn Red Devils and Howell Heat softball programs, conducting skill-focused training and guiding players on recruitment strategies.
"I'm thrilled to welcome Coach Zatko to our staff," said Head Coach Nicole Bellini. "Her extensive experience as a player, coupled with her championship success, will bring a wealth of knowledge and energy to our team."
A 2024 graduate of Long Island University-Brooklyn with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Wellness, Zatko is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at NYU.
Zatko was a three-year team member of LIU's NCAA Division I softball team. A catcher who played in 58 career games, she was a member of the Sharks' 2023 Northeast Conference Championship team.
"I am so excited to start this new chapter of softball in my life with the Violets," Zatko said. "I hope to be a part of a great things in this program and to use my knowledge of the game to help the team grow and succeed."
Prior to LIU, Zatko spent her first two collegiate seasons playing at La Salle University
A standout at Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark, NJ, Zatko was a three-time First Team All-County selection. She also played volleyball and basketball.
Zatlo is a native and resident of Clark.
