Five members of the New York University softball team were named to the College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Naya Schubel,
Jessie Werthman,
Siena Kiefer,
Nicole Cicchetti and
Monique Kamrowski all represent the Violets on the 2026 Academic All-District Softball Team.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50, and compete in 90 percent of their team's games or start at least 66 percent. Pitchers must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
Schubel started 36 of 37 games for NYU, hitting .303 with a team-high four home runs while ranking second on the team with 22 runs batted in. Kiefer appeared in all 39 games and made 38 starts, batting .293 with 36 hits, 20 runs scored and a team-leading 17 stolen bases.
Cicchetti started 36 games for the Violets, finishing with 31 hits, 18 runs batted in and 11 stolen bases. Werthman made 18 appearances and 11 starts in the circle, recording 45 strikeouts over 52.1 innings. Kamrowski appeared in 19 games and made five starts, throwing 40.1 innings for NYU.
All five Violets on the team also earned University Athletic Association (UAA) Spring All-Academic Recognition.
