Members of the New York University men's and women's track & field teams competed in the West Point Twilight Invitational which took place in West Point, NY, on Thursday, May 9.
Four Violets notched new personal bests in the 1,500-meter run:
Jake Chang (4:00.28),
Samir Hussain (4:09.10),
Coleman Ruiz (4:13.50), and
Sam Frank (4:15.64).
Sammie Seamon (4:51.75) notched a season best in the event as well.
In the 800-meter run,
Jorge Rocha achieved a new personal best with his 1:56.59 finish.
William Cornick finished 35th in the event with a time of 2:00.15.
Members of the team will be back in action tomorrow, Friday, May 10, when they travel to Williamstown, MA, to compete in the Williams College Farley Inter Regional Extravaganza.
