Three track and field meets in New Jersey hosted a contingent of New York University student-athletes this weekend as the Violets competed at Ramapo College, The College of New Jersey and Princeton University.
The bulk of the men's and women's teams were at the Ramapo Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Mahwah, NJ. The Roadrunners' event included team scoring as the only meet of the three to do so. NYU's throwers took part in the TCNJ Invitational in Ewing, while a group of distance runners raced at Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational.

NYU's women placed fifth out of 18 teams in a strong showing while the men also landed among the top 10, finishing ninth.
For the women,
Isre'al Conerly took first in the 400-meter dash. Her time of 58.44 seconds ranks second in the University Athletic Association (UAA) and 14th in all of Division III.
Katherine Cheng was victorious in the 1500, completing the race in 4:58.68.
Gabrielle Stankosh was right behind her in second, setting a personal record of 4:59.73. Stankosh also finished second in the 800, crossing the finish line in 2:26.62.
Nathalie Shoji won the pole vault with a 2.95-meter leap.
Ezri Scott took third in high jump with the fourth-best result in the UAA this season (1.56m).
Madi Richardson made her javelin debut, placing fourth with a 23.86-meter toss (11th in UAA).
Jessica Allen finished third in the 5k (19:09.12) and
Kate Gallagher came in sixth with a time of 19:29.21.
For the men,
Zion Glover nabbed a pair of second-place finishes. He ran the 100m finals in 11.06 seconds and set a personal record in the 200m (22.43, eighth in UAA).
Brian Kaiserman was fifth in the 100m with a personal-best time of 11.24 seconds.
Kamden Martin was right behind him at sixth, crossing the finish in 11.28 seconds.
Kristian Zadlo notched a personal record in the 200 (23.20) and grabbed second place in pole vault with the fifth-best leap in the UAA this year (3.95m).
Juan Ochoa posted the UAA's sixth-best pole vault finish, placing seventh with a 3.50-meter jump.
Oliver Fideler shined in the triple jump, taking second with a 13.59-meter showing which ranks third in the UAA and 23rd in Division III.
Mubeen Zainul recorded a personal record in the 5k (15:34.96) for a fifth-place finish.
Keeping Pace at Princeton
Ryan Tobin continued his strong rookie season, taking fourth in a highly-competitive race with a time of 14:36.66 in the men's 5k which ranks ranks second in the UAA and 16th in the nation.
Aidin Hasan finished the 5k in 15:10.74, good for 10th in the Association.
Jon Diaz took ninth in the men's 800, completing the race in 1:55.11 which ranks ninth in the UAA.
Brett Asay missed his PR in the 400 by just one tenth of a second, crossing the finish in 50.79 seconds. His time is among the top-10 in the Association (ninth).
Athina Zodl set a personal record in the women's 5k with an 18:17.77 result (ninth in UAA).
Throwers at TCNJ
For the men,
Owen Mountford took second in discus with a 44.65-meter toss that ranks third in the UAA and 40th in Division III. He also placed fourth in shot put with a 13.30-meter result.
Marc Santonocito posted a personal best in the hammer throw, taking 11th with a 32.67-meter toss (12th in UAA). He took fifth in shot put as well with a 13.16-meter throw (sixth in UAA).
Rudra Amin notched a PR in javelin, tossing 45.77 meters which ranks sixth in the Association.
Chad Belick came in eighth in the event with a 44.95-meter showing.
For the women,
Michelle Uvieghara placed eighth in shot put with a 10.27-meter toss.
Kiera Gainer nabbed a personal best in discus (28.06m) for a 12th-place finish.

Both teams will compete at the Metropolitan Championships on Friday and Saturday, April 8-9, at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island.
