The New York University women's track and field team finished out its weekend at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Championships on Sunday, Apr. 26. The meet was held on the campus of Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in Cleveland, Ohio.
NYU placed seventh in the meet. Washington University in St. Louis won the team championship.
The Violets added their second All-UAA selection of the week on Sunday morning.
Alexa McMillian repeated her placement in the triple jump from the UAA Indoor Championships, taking second place with an 11.86m effort on her final jump. That mark is the 13th best in the Division III ranks this outdoor season.
Amalia Hronides closed out the women's field events with her first All-UAA performance. The rookie hit a new personal best in the high jump competition, clearing 1.62m to take third place in the event.
On the track, the Violets picked up points in three events.
Janie Cooper led the way for NYU in the 1500m final, taking fourth place in 4:38.91 and winning her heat.
Katharine Frank picked up a pair of points in seventh place with a 4:40.98 finish.
Adrianna Kosmont notched a personal best in the 100m final, clocking in at 12.58 seconds in seventh place.
In the 800m final,
Gianna Dawson scored her best time of the season (2:16.23) and took fifth place.
The Violets' season continues in the first weekend of May at the Larry Ellis Invitational, hosted by Princeton University.
