The New York University women's track and field team concluded their week at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships on Saturday, May 23. The three-day meet was contested on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
With two All-American performances on Saturday, the Violets finished with 11 points for the meet - good for 23rd place. Hosts Wisconsin-La Crosse won the 2026 National Championship.
Josephine Dziedzic secured her second top-eight finish of the weekend, closing out the meet with a seventh-place finish in the 5000m final. Her 16:40.29 time earned All-America recognition after earning her first in the 10,000m final on Thursday evening.
Katherine Cochran closed out her weekend with a 13th-place finish in the 5k, finishing in 16:52.89. She earned All-America Second Team placement for the run.
In the field events, rookie
Alexa McMillian competed in her first National Championship meet for the triple jump. McMillian's best jump of 11.32m earned her 20th place.
The 23rd-place finish caps off an unprecedented year for the women's cross country and track and field teams after winning the 2025 Cross Country National Championship in the fall and a program-best 15th-place finish at the Indoor National Championships.
