The New York University women's and men's diving teams completed competition at the LGR! Invitational in Troy, NY, on Sunday.
Meera Kasturi continued her dominant performance
from Saturday, winning the one-meter with a score of 453.70.
Grayson Kim took second, totaling 413.85. Both Kasturi and Kim made their second NCAA Division III Regional Championships qualification.
Katherine Nardone followed in third with 381.30 to secure the women's second sweep of the weekend.
In the men's three-meter,
Hunter Whitbeck led the field with a Regionals-qualifying score of 489.60.
Mitchell Mortenson claimed third with 439.80, falling just 0.10 short of the Regionals mark.
"It was a successful weekend for both the men and women," Head Diving Coach
Todd Kolean said. "Hunter and Meera had a great meet and it was good to see Grayson make the scores on both boards. It was a little heartbreaking that Mitchell missed the three-meter by 0.10 points but he dove really well."
The Violets will take a break from competitions until the new year. Their next meet is the NYU Diving Invitational on January 13-14 in the Palladium Natatorium.
