Members of the men's and women's swimming and diving teams are in Greensboro, NC, to compete in the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships March 19-22. The women are entering the competition ranked second in the nation in the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) polls, and the men are ranked third.
Both the men's and women's teams had record-breaking performances at last year's NCAA Championships, and have continued to dominate this season. The men's team is 8-0 in 2024-25 after placing a best-ever fourth at the national competition last year. The women are 5-1 coming off of a program-best third place finish at the 2024 NCAA's.
On the women's side, co-captain juniors
Kaley McIntyre and
Nicole Ranile are competing in a team-high seven events each.
McIntyre, the 2024 NCAA Division III Swimmer of the Year, is looking to secure her third straight victory in both the 50 and 200 freestyles events, and defend her 100 freestyle and 800 freestyle relay titles. She was NCAA All-American in the 400 freestyle relay, 400 medley relay, and 200 freestyle relay last season and won UAA Rookie of the Year in 2022-23. She has also been University Athletioc Asociation (UAA) Female Swimmer of the Year the last two seasons.
Ranile is also looking to defend the 800 freestyle relay title. She earned All-America honors in the 400 freestyle relay, 200 butterfly, 400 medley relay, and 200 freestyle, and Honorable Mention All-American in the 200 backstroke at the 2024 NCAA Championships.
The women earned 32 All-America honors and eight Honorable Mention All-America honors at the NCAA's last year, and are hoping to continue their success this weekend.
