In February 2016, New York University's Coles Sports Center closed, forcing the relocation of the Athletic Department's coaches and administrators.
Now, in January, 2022, those parties were finally reunited.
During that almost-six-year time span, members of the department were separated and moved to various campus locations: 404 Fitness, Palladium Athletic Facility, University Hall, and Third North.
Now, for the first time in almost six years, the majority of the Department's personnel are back together again, as most of the coaching staff and administrators are working at the same location, 196 Mercer St., right across from where the new 181 Mercer facility is nearing completion.
"Due to the construction of our new facility and the issues brought on by Covid, it has been a long time since we've been able to establish a location where we could all be together again," said
Stuart Robinson, NYU's Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Director of Athletics. "The fact that now we can interface in person on a daily basis when necessary makes things feel a lot more whole."
Currently, the Athletics Department offices are only accessible to members of the NYU community who possess the Daily Screener. Updated information concerning accessibility by non-University personnel will be updated on the NYU Athletics website as it becomes available.

REUNITED AFTER ALL THESE YEARS....
Men's Volleyball Head Coach Jose Pina:
"I am excited to be back together with my coaching peers, exchange ideas and just have conversations about the daily goings-on."
Men's and Women's Tennis Head Coach Horace Choy:
"It's great to be under the same roof again. We have adapted as we always do, but things have been different ever since we moved out of the Coles Sports Center. We now have the added bonus of being able to track the progress of 181 Mercer from right across the street and look forward to its opening."
Men's Soccer Head Coach Kim Wyant:
"The new Athletic Department offices are amazing. They have a really cool vibe and it's great to have everyone back together in one spot. I love walking up and down the aisles of the office just saying hi to everyone and checking in."
