Holz (UAA Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week - Offense) helped lead the volleyball team to a 3-0 weekend at the UAA Round Robin #1. Included were victories over top-20 opponents University of Chicago and Washington University in St. Louis, teams that NYU hadn't beaten since 2010. Holz recorded double-digit kills in each contest and averaged 16 per match.
Teammate
Lindsey Hirano (South Pasadena, CA/South Pasadena) (UAA Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week - Defense/Setting) averaged 5.33 digs per set and added seven service aces in the Violets' three victories. She recorded 22 digs as NYU broke a nine-match losing streak against Chicago, and finished with 24 digs as the Violets snapped their 14-match losing streak to Washington.
The volleyball team is now 9-0 this season.
