A pair of New York University freshmen wrestlers competed at the Bob Quade Cyclone Open on Sunday, December 5.
The invitational was hosted by Centenary University in Hackettstown, NJ.

Jack Garcia (Yorba Linda, CA/Valencia) represented NYU at 149 pounds.
Sanfilippo decisioned Peter Nace of East Stroudsburg University 9-4 before falling to Xavier Pena of Centenary in the quarterfinals.
Garcia pinned his opponent, Faith Guevara of Montclair State University, in just 32 seconds before being defeated by Eric Falleni of East Stroudsburg in the Round of 16.
"These two wrestlers did not compete on Saturday (at the Roger Williams Duals), so it was good to get them experience today," explained Head Coach
Bruce Haberli. "It will help as they compete for us moving forward."
Both wrestlers lost their consolation matches.
The wrestling team is back in action next Saturday, December 11, for a tri-meet at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI.
