The New York University wrestling team was defeated 38-6 by Long Island University-Post on Sunday, January 21, in Brookville, NY.
NYU falls to 9-6 on the season with the loss, while the Division II Pioneers improved their record to 5-8.
The grapplers won two of seven bouts, while giving up 18 points via forfeits at 141 pounds, 184 pounds and heavyweight.
Evan Drill won NYU's first bout of the day, defeating his opponent Pete Detore 13-8.
Immediately following Drill's win,
Raymond Jazikoff took the mat at 157 pounds and recorded a 6-0 victory over TJ Fabian.
The loss ended NYU's four-match win streak.
NYU will be back on the mat next Saturday when it travels to Trinity College in Hartford, CT, for a 2pm dual match against the Bantams.
