Sabre Foil Epee
The New York University women's fencing team was defeated by Stevens Institute of Technology 17-10 on Tuesday, February 21, in Hoboken, NJ.
The Violets fell 5-4 in sabre and epee, and lost 7-2 in foil.
Leading the way for NYU was junior
Stephanie Cunningham. The St. Louis, MO, native went 3-0 in epee.
"A few close matches did not go our way, but we were definitely in it fighting hard," said NYU Assistant Coach
Lauren Willock Wunderlich.
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS

Audrey Edgington (sabre) each won their lone match of the evening.

Jacqueline Tubbs and
Maria Free, and freshman
Oliwia Szumilo all went 1-1 in sabre.
The Violets are back in action for the NCAA Regional Championships hosted by Yale University in New Haven, CT, on Sunday, March 12.
