The New York University women's basketball team dropped a 73-46 decison to #6 (D3hoops.com) Washington University-St. Louis on Senior Day, Sunday, February 16, at the Coles Sports Center in Manhattan.

The #22-ranked Violets (18-4, 7-4 University Athletic Association) never led in the contest as they suffered their second straight loss.

Riley Wurtz, who had not played for NYU since January 19 against Washington in St. Louis, did return for a cameo appearance (four minutes), but starting forward Megan Dawe missed her third straight game.

Prior to the start of the contest, Alexis Doherty and Sam Hickey were honored in a pre-game Senior Day ceremony.
