The fifth-ranked New York University men's volleyball team fell to Princeton University in a five-set thriller (25-18, 25-21, 20-25, 17-25, 15-11), on Friday, April 6, in Princeton, NJ.

NYU  (20-8) gave Division I Princeton (8-9) all they could handle, but in the end it was not enough.

After dropping the first two sets, the Violets rallied back and won sets three and four before eventually succumbing to the Tigers' strong offensive attack.

Nick Capriccio led the way for NYU with a match-high 15 kills and just one error on 25 total attacks, giving him a .560 hitting percentage.

Taylor Fauntleroy recorded a double-double on the night as he notched 14 kills and 10 digs.

Luke Hamlet and Matthew MacDonald rounded out the double-digit kill club, each recording 10 of their own.

The Violets next match is against Penn State University-Behrend, on Saturday April 14, in the first round of the United Volleyball Championship (UVC) Tournament.  First serve is set for 3:15pm.
