Virginia Duals Information

The New York University wrestling team completed competition at the Virginia Duals in Hampton, VA, on Saturday, January 8.

Facing Nassau Community College, NYU dropped a 39-9 decision and was eliminated from competition.  The squad split its two matches on Friday.

Steve Massey was the only "on-mat" winner for NYU on Saturday, defeating his opponent 3-2 in a 197-pound bout.

Sabino Galassi was awarded a victory by forfeit at 184 to account for six points.

NYU, now 2-6 in dual matches this season, returns to action next Saturday. Jan. 15, at the Washington and Lee University Invitational in Lexington, VA.
