Chauni Green joined New York University as an Athletic Trainer in August 2022. She primarily oversees women’s soccer, men’s and women’s track & field, men’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s swimming (distance and sprints).
Green originally attended NCAA Division II Chowan University, where she was offered a full-ride scholarship to play volleyball as an outside hitter during the 2015-16 season. She completed her undergraduate studies at Northern Arizona University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Chemistry in 2019.
Green went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from California Baptist University in 2022, where she gained experience at all levels ranging from high school to professional sports as well as a PT clinic. More specifically, Green served as an intern for the Los Angeles Chargers during the 2021-22 season and for UCLA’s men’s and women’s outdoor track & field teams during the 2022 season.
Granted certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) in June 2022, Green is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and obtained her Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in July 2023.
Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Green resides in Brooklyn, NY. Her hobbies include playing volleyball, running, roller skating, and exploring all the tourist spots New York City has to offer.
