New York University (11-20, 5-15) and the University of Chicago (23-13, 15-5) capped off its four-game series against each other on Sunday, April 26, at the J. Kyle Anderson Field in Chicago, Illinois.
The Maroons held a 3-0 series lead over NYU headed into the final game, and with a win the Maroons would clinch the UAA regular season title.
NYU made multiple efforts to upset Chicago, but ultimately lost a close 13-10 game.
Throughout the series Chicago has gotten out to large leads and that trend continued in the top of the first as the Maroons scored seven runs.
Chicago homered in the second, extending their lead to 8-0, but
Harrison Blueweiss followed with his own shot over the fence to get NYU on the board in the top half of the third.
The Violets got their bats going in the fourth, scoring four runs to trim Chicago's lead to 8-5. With two outs, Blueweiss and
Kosta Mocklis both came up big with RBI singles that eventually set up
Max Oliveira's two-run double.
NYU, trailing 9-5 in the sixth, tied the game to put the number-one seeded Chicago Maroons on their heels. Oliveira batted in another two Violets during the inning to record his fifth RBI of the series. Chicago responded with four runs in the bottom half of the frame to take a 13-9 lead.
Still trailing by four, NYU began the ninth inning with three straight singles to load the bases as the tying run walked to the plate with zero outs. The first at-bat with bases loaded ended in a strikeout, but
Aidan Howladar followed with an RBI single to chip into the Chicago lead. The Maroons closed the game with a double play to conclude a series sweep over the Violets.

- Blueweiss hit his fourth home run of the season (ninth of career)
- Oliveira's four RBIs matched his season-high
- CJ Franchini has had at least one RBI in 15/18 UAA games he played in
