NYU Men’s Fencing Competes at #3 Harvard

Violets Push Crimson in Competitive Road Dual

The New York University men's fencing team fell to #3-ranked Harvard University, 17–10, on Friday, January 30, in Cambridge, MA.

The meet began with saber, where NYU fell 6–3. Foil followed, with the Crimson again posting a 6–3 win, giving Harvard the advantage heading into the final weapon.

NYU looked to epee to spark a comeback, but Harvard narrowly claimed the weapon, 5–4, sealing the one-point decision.

Jordan MacCarty led the Violets in epee with a 2–1 record. NYU's foil and saber squads split points evenly, with each fencer finishing 1–2 on the day.

The Violets return to action Saturday, January 31 at the Eric Sollee Invitational, hosted by Brandeis University in Waltham, MA.
