The New York University men's and women's track & field teams traveled to Williamstown, MA, to compete in the Williams College Farley Inter-Regional Extravaganza on Saturday, May 10.
In the 10,000-meter run, Lucy Gott finished in second place with a time of 35:39.75 to notch a new personal best.
Olivia Jackson took second place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase event. She posted a new personal-best time of 11:14.93.
Stella Kuttner crossed the line in 4:32.12 to take third overall in the 1,500-meter run. Teammates Katherine Cochran (4:36.28), Katharine Frank (4:51.03) and Ava Sieckmann (4:58.13) all achieved new personal bests in the event.
In the men's section, Huckleberry Oakes also posted a new personal best with a time of 3:54.32 to take 13th place.
Josephine Dziedzic notched a fifth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run, achieving a new personal best in the process with her time of 16:47.35.
In the men's section, Andrew Taylor and Jeffrey Chen finished in sixth and eighth place, respectively, both also posting new personal bests. Taylor clocked 14:25.96 and Chen finished with a time of 14:30.77.
Micah Taffet also notched a personal-best time of 15:32.47 in the event to take 37th place.
In the discus, Daniel Lee threw 41.42m to take seventh and toppled his previous personal best.
The Violets are back in action this Monday, May 12, when they travel to Chester, PA, to compete in the Widener Final Qualifier.
