Julian Aske of the New York University men's track & field team has been named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week following his outstanding performance at the Rainy Farley Inter Regional Meet on Saturday afternoon.
The junior from Chicago, IL, raced in the 800-meter dash in which he finished with a time of 1:50.81 to take first place. He also set a season-best for himself with the time and tallied the 20th-best finish in Division III this season.
Following the Widener Final Qualifier on Monday night, the Violets will look to compete in the NCAA Outdoor Championships, hosted from Thursday to Saturday, May 21-23, in LaCrosse, WI.
