New York University's "One Day" campaign, held on Wednesday, March 12, proved to be the best of all-time in 2024-25, as the Violets' 23 varsity teams helped raise over $350,000.
It was the largest one-day fundraising initiative in program history.
These resources will go toward strategic investments that advance the NYU student-athlete experience and allow them to achieve at the highest level.
Following a 2023-24 academic year in which NYU Athletics finished a best-ever fifth in the
Learfield Directors Cup Standings, the Violet teams have raised their games even higher in 2024-25. Just this weekend alone, four NYU teams (men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming & diving) are vying for NCAA Division III National Championships.
"This level of support by members of our athletics community is incredible. It's clear to me that our messaging and vision for the future of NYU athletics is resonating," said NYU Director of Athletics
Jake Olkkola. "This level of commitment strengthens our championship culture by providing the resources necessary for our athletes to excel in competition, in the classroom and in life. This achievement is a testament to the power of teamwork. We can accomplish great things when we do it together."
