The New York University men's and women's swimming & diving teams are hosting the NYU Winter Invitational on Friday and Saturday, February 21-22, at the Paladium Athletic Facility Natatorium in Manhattan.
There was no team scoring at the meet, but plenty of highlight performances for the Violets (quotes from Head Coach
Trevor Miele).
The men's team recorded a total of six victories:
Oliver Engel - 200 freestyle
"Oliver and Bryan (Manheimer) had a nice battle and both went under 1:40, both personal bests."
Sean Li - 100 breaststroke
Hodge Dauler - 200 backstroke
Derek Young - 50 freestyle
Marko Todorovic - 200 butterfly
"Had a really nice race, his best time."
Ryan Sen - 200 IM
The women's team produced three victories:
Sarah Pierson - 200 backstroke
"She dropped her time from UAA's, which will put her in a better position to get selected to the NCAA Championships."
Alia Saba - 50 freestyle
