Men's Fencing Defeated at Harvard

Violets Lose to Crimson in a Close Match

The New York University men's fencing team was defeated by Harvard University by a score of 16-11 on Saturday, February 1, in Cambridge, MA.

The Violets were able to secure a victory in epee with a 5-4 result. The foil squad saw a narrow defeat by a score of 5-4, and the team also took a loss in saber with a final score of 7-2.

Ajit Sivakumar led the charge for the Violets in epee with a 3-0 record on the day.

Thomas Murphy and Steven Grams each notched important victories to give the team the edge in the category.

In foil, Farr Dickson finished with a record of 2-1, with the two additional victories coming from Adam Wong, and Anup Banerjee.

Faaris Hussain and Jerry Pan each had one victory in saber.

NYU returns to action at the Eric Sollee Invitational, hosted by the Massachusetts Institue of Technology, starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 2nd.
