Three members of the New York University women's soccer team received United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division III All-Region IV honors for their performances this past season.
Eileen Xu was named First Team after her stellar season in which she appeared in all but one match. The NYU senior played the second-most minutes on the team (1,403), anchoring the backline that produced nine shutout, including one against
#18-ranked Carnegie Mellon University.
Sophomore
Marlee Scanlon was named to the Second Team. She led the
#21-ranked Violets in goals (7) and points (15), and finished third with 33 shots.
Elizabeth Argenziano, a senior captain, was named Third Team All-Region. She started all 19 matches for the Violets and was part of the backline with Xu that steadied the Violets throughout the season. Argenziano also contributed four goals and two assists.
The Violets finished with a 9-6-4 record and received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
