Three members of the New York University women's volleyball team have earned a spot on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III All-Region 4 Team.
Ava Launsbach and
Grace Nelson were both named to the first team, while
Coco Barton was tabbed an honorable mention. Both Launsbach and Barton also made the All-University Athletic Association (UAA) Second Team.
Launsbach finished fifth in the conference in assists per set with 6.4, good for a career-high for the senior. In 30 matches played on the year, the Los Angeles, CA native tallied at least 20 assists in all but 11 contests.
Nelson led the UAA in serving aces with 64 and racked up 277 kills on .175 hitting. Additionally, she collected 182 digs and 42.0 total blocks.
Rounding out the All-Region team, Barton was top-20 nationally in total blocks with 121.0. She also posted 165 kills on .297 hitting percentage.
The Violets will continue their season against Wesleyan University (CT) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday at 7pm in Middletown, CT.
