A Violet Legacy Unleashed
Tear It Up!, an NYU Athletics tradition established in 2005, returns for the 2025-26 season! These events give new and returning members of the NYU community special opportunities throughout the academic year to cheer on their fellow Violets on the court, on the field, and in the pool. Tear It Up! Events will encompass all of our varsity programs, with Violets giveaways, food, and special guest appearances.
Tear It Up! RING DAY - NYU Women's Basketball
It's time to celebrate! Saturday, November 22 is RING DAY for NYU Women's Basketball at John A. Paulson Center! Register to reserve your ticket now!
Brunch & Basketball
Festivities begin at 12:30 PM, as we host Brunch & Basketball. We'll be serving free mimosa mocktails, bagels, and pastries for NYU fans prior to the Saturday's Game.
Ring Ceremony and Banner Unveiling
At 1:30 PM, the 2025 National Champion Violets will receive their rings in a special pre-game ceremony which will also feature the unveiling of the 2025 National Championship Banner from the Paulson rafters.
NYU Women's Basketball vs. New Paltz
Immediately after the ceremony, the 2025-26 Violets take the court! All fans seated in the student section will receive a limited edition 2025 National Champions t-shirt. The NYU Bobcat will be on hand, and halftime contests will feature the famous Bobcat Shirt and Bobcat bobblehead, plus additional games, prizes, and giveaways throughout the game.
Bring your friends, wear your Violets gear, and pack the stands. Let’s Tear It Up! for Ring Day!
