The New York University women's track & field team completed competition at the Paul Donahue Invite hosted by Widener University in Chester, PA, on Saturday, April 20.
Three Violets set new personal bests in the 1,500-meter run:
Josephine Dziedzic (4:50.56),
Olivia Jackson (4:52.59) and
Grace Rowley (5:02.59).
Mackenzie Richard set a new personal best in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking a 1:06.48 finish to take seventh.
Dasha Jackson took sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.24.
In the 100-meter dash,
Beverly Okyere and
Cindy Leonard notched new personal bests with Okyere finishing in 13.37 and Leonard posting 13.42.
Areyanna McCarthy finished the 400-meter dash in 1:03.43 to post a new top time in the event.
The Violets are back in action next weekend, April 27-28, when they travel to Pittsburgh, PA, to compete in the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships hosted by Carnegie Mellon University.
