The New York University men's fencing team was flawless on Saturday, winning all five of its matches at the Philadelphia Invitational, host by the University of Pennsylvania.
The Violets defeated four NCAA Division I schools, as well as Division III Johns Hopkins University.
NYU was victories over the Division I squads of the University of North Carolina (20-7), Duke University (14-13), the New Jersey Institute of Technology (15-12), and host UPenn (15-12), in addition to its 19-8 win over Johns Hopkins.
"I couldn't have been happier with the performance from our men's team today," said Head Coach
Ben Bratton. "They were focused and showed a ton of resilience against some extremely strong opposition."
