The Department of Athletics, Intramurals and Recreation is pleased to announce an updated spectator policy for our home outdoor athletic events effective Friday, September 10. Spectators will be permitted under the following conditions:

• Physical distancing should be observed while seated in the stands. In situations where physical distancing cannot be observed, masks should be worn.
• Masks are required to access restrooms, but may be removed when seated in the stands.
• There will be no tailgating or post game receptions permitted.
• Interaction between student-athletes and spectators is limited only between the student-athletes and their families. The encounters must be limited to fifteen minutes outdoors and take place in the bleacher area. It is also expected that all parties are masked during those periods.
• Due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 landscape, prospective visitors should note that schedule changes may occur at any time as New York University and opposing institutions respond to COVID impacts. The University and Department of Athletics cannot guarantee that scheduled games will always happen or won't shift to another date or time.

The no spectator policy remains in place for indoor contests.
