Sabre Results
The New York University women's fencing team was defeated by Harvard University on Sunday, February 2, in Cambridge, MA. NYU fell to the Crimson by a score of 21-6. The Violets struggled after coming off of four wins in six matches Saturday at the Eric Sollee Invitational.
The foil team was edged by a score of 5-4, while the sabre team and epee team both were defeated 8-1.
Rachel Yuen (San Francisco, CA/Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep) posted a 2-1 foil record.
Chloe Chen (Lumberton, NJ/Moorestown Friends) and
Anna Lanzman (Brooklyn, NY/Stuyvesant) picked up the Violets' only wins in sabre and epee.
The Violets return to action this Saturday, February 8, when they compete at the Fairleigh Dickinson Invitational in Teaneck, NJ.
