The New York University men's volleyball team returns to action this weekend, with matches on Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23, at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.
Friday's match pits Head Coach
Jose Pina's squad against rival Stevens in its final United Volleyball Conference (UVC) contest of the regular season. Despite an overall record of 9-10 after dropping their last five, the Violets are still ranked 11th in the most recent
American Volleyball Coaches Association AVCA Division III Top 15 Poll. They also boast a 7-3 conference record and have already clinched the #4 seed in the UVC Tournament. NYU has won its last three matches against the Ducks (20-6, 9-1 UVC) dating back to 2010, and will look to extend that win streak to four.
On Saturday, the Violets take on Cairn University (7-14) in a neutral site contest hosted by Stevens. This will begin a stretch of six non-conference match-ups to close out the regular season for NYU before the start of UVC Tournament on April 13.
Friday's match is set to start at 6:00 PM and Saturday's will begin at 11:00 AM.
Live stats will be available for both contests.
Live video will be available for Friday's match only.
