The New York University men's volleyball team had little trouble in sweeping Vassar College 25-14, 25-15, 25-18 in a United Volleyball Conference (UVC) match-up on Thursday, February 21, in Poughkeepsie, NY.
The Violets (7-3, 5-1) out-hit the Brewers (6-4, 3-3) .371 to -.024 in sweeping the host squad.
Drew Steiner had an all-around strong performance for NYU. He recorded 10 kills on 14 attempts while committing only two errors for a .571 hitting percentage. Steiner also had team highs of nine digs and five blocks.
HIGHLIGHTS:

Keith Waddell led NYU with a match-high 11 kills while hitting .273.

Connor Mortland led all players with 31 assists. He added three digs and two blocks.

Nick Benson contributed eight kills and a .438 hitting percentage, while also totaling five digs and three blocks.
- Charlie Caldwell led Vassar with seven kills.
"We played an excellent match, our best of the year," said Head Coach
Jose Pina. "We executed our game plan just as we practiced it. Everyone who played, played really well."
The Violets return to action on Tuesday, February 26, for a 7:00pm home match against SUNY New Paltz.
