The New York University men's volleyball team has received a #6 ranking in the most recent American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 15 Division III Poll after sweeping the NYU Tri-Meet this past weekend.
 
Along with defeating #14-ranked Ramapo College, the Violets avenged their first loss of the season to NCAA Division I local rival Rutgers-Newark University.
 
Tonight NYU looks to avenge its only other loss of the season as it takes on United Volleyball Conference (UVC) foe, #10-ranked Vassar College, at home in the Coles Sports Center. 
 
Although NYU fell to Vassar 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-23) on January 25, the team remains perfect in conference play because that match took place before conference play officially began.
 
Tonight the squad is hoping to extend its win streak to nine. Currently the Violets are 4-0 at home, 5-0 in UVC play and 9-2 overall.
